No, the number of people authorized to travel in a motorhome is indicated on the gray card. Do not rely on the number of beds, the number of lounge seats or even the number of seatbelts. Only the number of seats shown on the carte-grise is binding. There is not always a correlation between the number of gray card seats and the number of berths. The manufacturer will do his utmost to provide a minimum of 4 carte-grise places, but if the motorhome is very large and very well equipped, and therefore often heavy, it may lose a carte-grise place.

Are seatbelts compulsory?

Yes, it's compulsory, even at the rear of the vehicle. In fact, as in a car, all passengers must be strapped in.
