Motorhome parking rules

Parking a motorhome involves a few rules that are essential to know and respect. If you've recently become the owner of a Privilege motorhome, Autostar presents the different rules you need to know about motorhome parking.

What do you need to know about RV parking?

There are a few general rules to be aware of when traveling in a motorhome:

  • Parking on public roads for more than 7 consecutive days is prohibited.
  • Stopping or parking at places such as intersections or hilltops, where visibility is poor, is dangerous.
  • Parking on sidewalks and shoulders reserved for pedestrians, or in spaces reserved for buses, is not permitted.

Generally speaking, parking permits and bans for motorhomes are indicated by the local authorities. In some towns, special zones and areas are set aside for motorhome parking. These areascan be communal or private. You can find them using the park4night application.

It's up to motorhome drivers to comply with current regulations.
